Slow day and a funny from Facebook :)

Today is going to be a no spend day. It's also a day that I didn't get out of the house at all. Smile Let's not even mention what time I finally got OUT of bed. The jet lag really hit me I guess on a day I didn't *have* to be up at a certain time.

I wrote a post for my today.com blog. I had to edit it a lot to make it a bit shorter. I'm really going to have to discipline myself to be more brief. Smile

While I was writing my post, I got an email from Facebook telling me someone had requested that I add them as a friend. It just so happened to be the first guy I had dated my freshman year of high-school in Minnesota! Wow, that really brought me back a few years. Smile He was a Senior, and I was a 13 yr old freshman. (Don't worry - there was no hanky panky going on - I didn't have my first kiss till I was 17! LOL!) He's married and has a couple cute boys now. Big Grin

I keep wondering who is the next person I'm going to run across on Facebook??? Smile

I'm off to watch CSI:Vegas now, then am going to finish putting away my stuff from the CA trip. Smile

    I joined Facebook a few weeks ago and have heard from quite a few long ago friends. It is neat catching up with people I've known since kindergarten (I'm 44 now).

    Facebook can be very fun - but it can also be very addicting - especially once you start adding all the available applications - there's TONS of them. I've had to delete some that I'd added, and am VERY selective about any new ones I add.

    I've thought about seeing if a neighbor friend of mine who I knew when I was in first grade is on FB. I just haven't been able to remember her last name!

    I have both facebook and myspace and love it. I've found all my old boyfriends.

    Big Grin I've not found very many of my ex's, but I have found a few. Although I haven't initiated contact with any of them, I now have 4 friends who I either dated in real life, or formed a friendship with through an online dating service. Smile

    My problem is last names. I haven't found anyone from college - mostly because I can't remember their last names. They might remember mine because it was unique, but also hard to spell - LOL.

    At least for high school I have yearbooks to jog my memory. Those were a good investment - hehe.

    Ran into quite a few people too - LOVE it. Though I actually don't spend much time on it.

    My last name is pretty unique as well - has a lot of vowels. Smile But, if you do a search on facebook of people with my last name, you find a LOT of hits - not many in the US though.

    I don't really spend too much time on it either. Most of the time I get on there because someone has friended me, or sent me a message.
