What I Let Go Of Today

September 9th, 2009 at 11:12 am

Here are pictures of what I let go of today (taken with my iPhone camera.)

I haven't gone through my kitchen items yet. Today though the main thing was to get the furniture/big items out while their driver was someone capable of handling furniture.

Box of various items - makeup bags, box of notecards, etc.

Tivo (Dual Tuner, 80 Hr)

Entertainment Center, TV, Bean bag

Recliner, Corner shelf

2 laundry bags of clothes, a box of clothes, a box of various items (2.4 ghz answering phone + extra phone, stuffed bears, photo frames, alarm/radio clock, plug in night light, iron, etc.)

Table & chairs (ironing board not in picture)

Video and CD shelves, Bed recliner

Good job! You can be my inspiration to get off of my duff and purge!

Yep. It's just stuff. And it may be a big help to some woman who is trying to restart her life.

    Thanks Smile

Did I miss something? I guess this is the first I am seeing any mention of a move for a long time?

Glad to hear it. You know, sometimes, I think decluttering is nice. To me, to means to feel unhindered again. At least, that's what I think about "just stuff".

    Coupon Addict,

I'm moving a week from this Sunday. I gave notice around 6 weeks ago or so to my apartment complex. If you look in the July archives (I think) you'll find a number of related posts.

    BA,

I agree. Part of me is sad letting this stuff go, but a larger part of me is feeling much more free, less encumbered. Next time when I move it will be even less of a production - though I still may have room for decluttering.

Good for you! It's so hard to do sometimes. DH and I went through a TON of stuff this past weekend and took a whole car full to donate to the animal shelter yard sale. I have to not think about it. Yes it's just stuff, and stuff I don't use, but hard because I was such a different person when I got that stuff. (I want parts of that person back right now) Yes, I sent away half my beanie babies. What was the point? They were just in a box.

Oh, I probably shouldn't mention I have a rather large box full of stuffed animals, three dolls and a few beanie babies, should I? Smile They're harder to let go of than books.
