A few weeks ago I ordered two Pilates DVD from amazon - used sellers. Before ordering I forgot to change my shipping address. So both DVD's were sent to my Dallas address. I thought it would be very unlikely for them to reach me three address changes later, but, miracles of miracles, one of them did! I can hardly wait to do it in the morning.

Today at work was for the most part very slow. The lady who hired the firm who hired the temp agency who hired me (what a mouthful!) spent probably a good two hours talking with me about some possible career avenues. She was suggesting that I might want to get a fellowship where it basically pays my tuition and books, as well as some professional travel, as well as providing a 20 hr a week internship in city goverment/planning, while pursuing a Masters of Public Administration - which would take about two years. Then when you're done with that, you have a wide range of possibilities open. I would have to enroll at UTA - but would not be able to begin till the summer session, since the Spring semester enrollment is already past. But I would need to take the GRE anyway, as well as see what student loans I could get. Because while the fellowship pays for tuition and books, and provides a 20 hr /wk job - that job barely would cover my rent, let alone any other expenses.

I'm not sure what I think about this yet. If I went this route (and was accepted) it would be at least the next 4 years of my life - you "repay" the fellowship by serving in some compacity of community service for two years after graduation. I don't know that going back to school is really the way I want to go.

I do know however, that if I continue to make the kind of wages I am right now, I will never be able to afford a house, let alone have much of anything to put away in savings. Right now I am able to live on it without dipping into savings, only because my rent is paid through February. Once I have to pay rent again, if I'm still making in the same area - I'm not sure how I'm going to do it.

Even with my financial worries, I still don't regret quitting teaching!
