Received First Gift Card

November 12th, 2010 at 03:46 am

Today I had another happy news email. My first $5 Amazon gift card had arrived from Swagbucks. I went to my account and copied the code, then went to Amazon. So I now have $5 waiting for me to spend at Amazon. Smile

I'm roughly 25 points away from my third gift card.

I didn't spend any money today. So that's always a good thing. Smile

My next big project for one of my classes is writing a grant application. It should be interesting, especially since it has to be done with a partner. Doing things with a partner - especially when the other persons last name is before yours (which means their responsible for submitting different documents) - makes my hackles rise. Depending on other people when my grade is at stake, really is unappealing. Collaboration is great otherwise. Smile

I finally completed one of the two assignments I'd been procrastinating on doing this week. It wasn't really that difficult, just time consuming. I think I'm at the point where I'm really, really tired of school. Good thing I only have one more class left! (Except it is a research methods class ... meaning lots of research papers.)

I don't like depending on other people - PERIOD. It never works well for me. I'm so bad that if DH and I go out with other people (RARELY) I will only go if we drive ourselves and take our own car. The only person I can depend on is ME. Lately I've been trying to train someone else to learn my job as a backup. That means I have to step back and let her do some of the work. Yeah, having a tough time with that. *I* am the one responsible for paying people and I really can't trust anyone else to do it right. Right there with ya on this one!

Thanks dmontngrey! So far, so good with this partnership. Hopefully it will continue that way. If not, I guess one B won't kill me.
