My Walking Companions+

I finally managed to get a picture of the two dogs I've been taking for walks most nights. (We didn't go today because when I got home from church it was too hot, and then later it's been raining and they don't like the rain.)

So .... here's Nikki (the one full of energy):




And here's .... Kayla (who is starting to walk a bit faster and further!):



And here's Sierra, one of the two cats - I rarely see Max (the other cat) so haven't been able to capture a picture of him yet:

    Adorable! Kayla...um...looks like she could use several walks. But maybe it's the camera angle, and the camera adds on 5 pounds anyhow - we all know that!

    Yes. Kayla definitely could use a few more walks. Smile Unfortunately in this instance I don't think the camera is adding anything.... My landlady told me that when she adopted her a few years ago she was about this same size. Apparently the people who had her before kept her in a crate or a small confined area most of the time. Frown Frown So she has a much better life now. Sierra I think is the only one of the four who was with the family from very small.

    Bless your heart. Today was Miranda's Rescue day at the local Costco. They come once a month for donations. We bought 2 bags of puppy food and a case of canned food (which is what they told us they needed the most).

    They are a local no-kill shelter. We try to make sure we go to Costco the first Saturday each month to donate to them.

    Homebody, They're not my animals - they're my landladies. I get all the benefits of pets, with none of the responsibilities. Big Grin I walk the dogs because well, I like doing that and I need the exercise (as much as Kayla does!)

    Someday when I have my own place again and a good job, I will more than likely get a couple animals from a no-kill shelter or petfinder or someplace like that.

    Lux, Yep! 4 footed companions. Big Grin Almost as good as the two-footed variety.

    Hehe, that's quite a nice family you have there. One that is jumpy and energetic, one that looks laid back and friendly, and one doesn't seem to trust that computer mice and regular mice are two different things.

    Big Grin And don't forget the one not pictured -- One who likes to stay out of view most of the time --- but has a knack for knocking on doors when he knows a human is inside the room.

    I actually got to see him in action the other morning - I wish I'd had my camera with me so I could have taken a video of it. It was the funniest thing watching a cat knocking on a bedroom door. (Of course my landlady didn't think it was so great - she was trying to sleep at the time!)

    Boo - I managed to get them out for two walks today -- in between rainstorms. Smile It was in the mid-60's here. Perfect walking weather. Big Grin
