Have any of you noticed a recent upsurge in grocery prices? I know that most prices have been going up for awhile, but it seemed to have leveled off for the most part.
I've been looking for a bottle of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider. I like to have that for special occasions - such as birthdays and holidays. Usually Walmart carries it,and it's around $3 for a bottle.
Walmart doesn't seem to carry it anymore. So tonight I decided to stop in Tom Thumb and see if they had it.
They did. For $8.99!!! Yeah - like I'm going to pay $9 for a bubbled version of apple juice. NOT!
Something strange I noted though at Walmart yesterday. The Ben & Jerry's ice cream had risen to nearly $3.34 for a pint at one point. Yesterday, they had it for $2.75!

If you are ever near an Ikea, check out the grocery section. They have good bubbly fruit drinks at reasonable prices (tho it's not Martinelli's).
